NEW!! Maqui Berry (pronounced ‘mockee’ berry) is a deep-purple colored fruit found in the Patagonia region of South America. It has the highest ORAC level of any food yet tested (other than some spices) ranging up to nearly three times the ORAC level of Acai Berry for the concentrated Maqui Berry extract. Maqui berry is extremely nutritional due to its high levels of Polyphenols, Anthocyanins and Amino acids and is one of the best sources of iron, calcium, vitamin C and other essential nutrients.

Maqui Berry has been used for centuries by the Mapuche Indian Tribe of South America. This fruit grows exclusively in the Patagonia region of Southern Chile and Argentina. Maqui Berries are revered by the Mapuche Indians as a symbol of strength, health and vitality, and are believed to have mystical healing powers by the natives. Maqui berries have been used for centuries in the traditional native herbal medicine by the Mapuches to treat different ailments such as allergies, sore throat, diarrhea, ulcers, hemorrhoids, fever, tumors and other illnesses.

Maqui berry has very high anthocyanin and polyphenol levels. According to studies, Maqui berry has 10 times more polyphenols and 100 times more anthocyanins than red wine. It is also a great source of vitamin C, calcium, potassium, and iron. (Note, however, that our research shows that Maqui Berry does not contain Omega 3 compounds which Acai Berry has).

Our ORAC testing has been completed and shows that our Premium Maqui Berry powder has an ORAC value of 21,900 umole TE/100gms. Our powder is made by gently sun-drying the whole fruit and then milling it to make the powder capturing all the nutrients in the fruit.

How to Use Our Premium Maqui Berry Powder

Our Premium Maqui Berry powder has a neutral taste (not sweet or sour) and can be mixed with natural juices of all kinds. It also blends well with cereals, ice creams, juices, milks, yogurts, pies, cakes, smoothies, cookie fillings and desserts and can be added to a variety of recipes. 3 tsp per day is the suggested use of the powder.
